I think that Apple don't care too much about their customers. I have a Lombard PowerBook and I can't play DVDs on OS X because DVD Player app don't support "hardware decoders". Apple suggest to boot on OS 9 (or OS 8.6) for DVD Playback. As I believe that is NOT a solution, I made the following: I installed Jaguar and Panther from copies. I'm not going to spend another cent on Apple's Incomplete Software (I believe X is). I will not pay again for Apple Software until this issue gets fixed.
