My experience with a Series II is that the Panther
installer chokes , i.e. the video goes haywire a few
minutes before the end on the install. I reboot and
Panther seems to work, but some programs do not work
or are not installed, e.g. Stuffit, Safari (but the
app and alias in the dock are both present).
Luckily, Mozilla installed (so I can still use the
Net) and Preview (the pdf reader app). Prefs are
accessible.
I used XPostFacto without the special video setting
(thanks to Ben Dyer) for Wallstreet. With the special
setting I could not install Panther at all.
Best
George
