Your new PowerBook or iBook won't care whether it is talking to a base
station, a Sawtooth pretending to be a base station, or the T-Mobile
connection at your local Starbucks.  An 802.11 signal is the same as any
other, the only variances being speed (a, b, g etc) and range, which depends
on the antenna and the power of the radio.  The only possible disadvantage
of using your Sawtooth instead of a hardware base station is range, and I
don't know if it is an actual deficit or not.  Of course, you also have the
Sawtooth turned on, making noise, guess that could also be a disad.
