Thanks! I got the iBook yesterday, and I love it! I'm sure my wife will too. She's always asking why the Wallstreet takes so long to load web pages. Ha! I've got 512MB of memory in that sucker, but the ol' processor just can't hack it. Anyway, I believe the type of migration you're referring to is an upgrade on the same machine, right? Otherwise, there's got to be some way to export the data from the Powerbook to the iBook first? I found some scripts written by a gentleman name Paul Berkowitz that will perform this export/import for $20. I guess I'll just have to buck up and pay the piper, eh? This stinks because it's so easy with MS Outlook/Winders. But this Mac stuff is a much different animal. I even know a little UNIX (Solaris), but that still doesn't help me since OS 9.2 is not based on UNIX. I don't know what files in OS 9.2 contain the data I need to export. I'm stumped.
Another idea I just had. Can you use Entourage, import your email from Mail, then transfer/export this Entourage file to your new laptop and open it/import in Mail?
Dunno if that will work or not, I've never tried, just an idea. Can Mail import Entourage email? I am pretty sure that Entourage will import Mail files, just not sure about the other direction.
