One more thing. This one has a Danish keyboard, which might be slightly different from the Norwegian one. It has the exact same characters, but a couple of them is placed differently. Can you change such things? By defining the keyboard differently and maybe switching around the key's?
I'd concur with the person who said that iBook should be enough for your needs. The biggest issue for you (except for the price, of course) would be the size of the screen and the whole unit... just look around here or in the recent archives of the list, there's still an ongoing discussion about this very topic (subject '"Less is more" or "Bigger is better"'). But if you've known PowerBooks for more than a decade, I'm sure you have it all figured out already.
There is also an issue with PowerBooks (metallic) looking different than iBooks (white), which might be a factor for some people. I know it was for me. :)
As for the keyboard, you can definitely switch the layout in Mac OS X on the fly. I do it all the time between English and Polish keyboards. Of course, that'll mean that some of the Danish key caps won't be giving you the characters they promise :), but if you're used to Norwegian keyboard scheme, or even touch type, it won't be a problem.
I am not sure if you can define your own keyboard scheme in Mac OS X (although I think there should be a possibility). There's a program called Double Command that can let you switch the modifier keys (Command, Control, Option, etc.) and some other stuff -- it was very helpful for me to get the Polish accents the way I'm used to.
Good luck with your purchase!

Hello all,
Thanks so much for your help!!! I really appreciate it!!!
I just mailed the seller, and said I am willing to buy the iBook for the price he asks. It seems like it is a good bet for me.
I touch type, real fast too, so I never look at the keys. So being able to change things in Sys X, it should be more than OK for me. And if I am really lucky, it will even be possible to loosen the keys themselves, and switch them. But that is really not a necessity. I am sure that I even would be able to get used to the different places for the three characters in question (plus a few other things, I think), but the problem is that I still have to live with using a PC at work. I also have a Toshiba Portege laptop with XP pro which I use for work, travel etc. I am only using that when I have to though, because I really don't like it. It is just a necessity... I really even prefer using my old PB over that one... I can't help it, I love using my Mac, I only use the PC's because I have to, I don't like it... :)
Now I am just crossing my fingers!!! I think I will be heading to Denmark for a little trip this next weekend, it will be cheaper for me to do that than have it shipped... The tickets to go there are real cheap...
Aase :)
