Hi all,

I am looking around again, as I lost the other one. I got a bit p*****, as the seller had said it would go to the first, and I was the first and had committed to buy, then he suddenly went on and sold it to another, mailing me afterwards to tell me... That is not how I do business... Oh well, maybe he wasn't the right one to buy from...

I am looking at some other ones now, and have also sent some mails to some I know of that might have something, and mailed the Apple store asking if they have a demo model or something like that. I mean, getting a new one isn't that much more expensive than a used one, they have more Mhz, but less RAM than most and less HD than many... But, new is new... Warranty and all...

One I have been looking at, is more expensive than the other one, an amount equivalent to what you pay for a used Airport Ex. Base here, and it has that one included...

ibook g4 12" , 800 mhz, 256 MB ram, 60 GB HDD, OS X 10.3.7, 2x USB 2, 1X Firewire, wifi og bluetooth built in, Airport Express base, TV-out cable, Original Apple bluetooth mouse (white)
Doesn't say how old it is...

I understand that I am not that used to many of the terms used anymore (and some are new too), I have no clue what wifi means (has to be something about wireless, I guess, but...). Can somebody explain?

As far as I can see, the downside with it is the RAM, I was hoping for a bit of luxury on that side, but hopefully it wouldn't cost too much to buy some extra RAM, maybe eBay would be an idea? The HDD is perfect for me (used to 6 GB!!!! It has 200 Mhz less speed though, the question is how much of a difference that makes...

What do you guys think? Is this as interesting as the other iBook, you think? I should really calculate a bit though, because it is not that much less than a new one from the cheapest stores here, and then I wouldn't have any costs on getting it here... But then again, a new one would be with less RAM and HDD, but a faster processor... Maybe I can live with only 30 GB, I do have a unused 80GB external one sitting here, that the Pismo for some reason wouldn't communicate with... Maybe I would have better luck with sys X...

Thanks a lot!

Aase :)
