I found out by calling the tech support dept. last year.
They told me I should be able to use Netscape, but that didn't work for me; the only browser I can use that works at all in pre-X OS now is Mozilla. (I'm booted in 9.x much of the time owing to problems I'm having with X.) Paypal pages load like molasses in Mozilla but they do work.
