Let me add a bit more that I learned. The earliest model Titanium would have the 400 or 500MHz processor, 128 or 256MB RAM, a 10 or 20GB hard drive, and DVD-ROM 2X. A user group guy who is acting as an intermediary between seller and potential buyer will get the details on the sale item; those specs really do not matter to me.

But I understand the Titanium had problems with hinges breaking. Does it happen a lot? That can put me off. What do you guys say?

Thanks,

Al Poulin

I have a chance to buy an "earliest model" Titanium. Don't know the specs on it yet. But should I seriously consider it or just hold my nose and ignore it? In other words, are these models running strong? Or finding their way into the bottom of the closet? A good design? Or an Apple mistake?
