Interesting point re. Brother. I went to their web site and they actually seem to be the first out the door with specific 10.4 software!
Good point re. receiving faxes with the Mac and OS X, but if I'm not mistaken, you have to have it connected to the phone line. That wasn't an option I was planning on, but if worst came to worst...
Any idea if you can receive faxes in 10.3 or 10.4 on a DSL line?


The Brother 5840cn still looks pretty good, though is $200. I've also found the HP 5510 at around $125, so about $75 cheaper. HP has a reputation for expensive ink, but the cartridges are a lot cheaper on ebay.

Re. using an MFC with an Airport Express, IIRC there was once a site that listed compatible USB printers/MFCs, but I can't find it any more. Anyone?
