Laurent,

Since Apple now has found out that liquid was spilled inside the iBook, I
would expect that any future issues would be attributed to the liquid also.
Therefore I would bite the bullet and find a new display and see if you can
fix it yourself.

I know that the iBooks are a real pain to work on, although not as bad as
the Al Powerbooks, but it seems to be doable. Just get the directions to
take it apart and give it a go.
