Ramdirect presently has twenty units of 256 MB *standard profile* SODIMMs listed, at under $40 apiece. Reference Item # 5801568854. I believe these are custom made for Ramdirect. *Low profile* SODIMMs haven't been made in a while. In fact, the last time "low profile" 256 MB SODIMMs were available at Fry's Electronics was at least two years ago. Maybe three years. For SODIMMs which were compatible with Wallstreet and Lombard PBs, that is. Pismo PBs accept standard PeeCee SODIMMs. Incidentally, the "refresh" parameter is usually specified as "CL2" or "CL3". "CL" stands for "CAS Latency" (CAS = Column Address Strobe), and CL2 is theoretically better than CL3, although CL3 certainly works in the above mentioned PBs, and I have not found PC133 SODIMMs which were *not* CL3. -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
