I have a PBG4 500 Mhz and I wonder what is the expected life of the battery. I only have an hour to keep it running now. Is that normal? Any recommendations? Or do I need to recondition my battery? What steps will I take to maximize power of my battery?

Hi Clem
If that is the original battery then that is still good time .
I need more info on how you run the book first before any suggestions can be made on performance.
Like.
do you run in full brightness ?
do you use the processor cycle option?
do you use cds in the drive all the time ?
do you have any extras attached IE wifi cards?

All these things will effect the battery life of the power book.
