Hi Van, when I first heard of gmail sometime back I got excited about it and tried to sign up but at the time it said I didn't have the correct-something... maybe it was browser, can't remember now. I'm using the highest IE there is for OS9, so I'm stuck until I move up to OSX. So I checked again just now and it says something about by invite only...? A few days ago I saw two authors on TV who had written books about google... "The Search" and I think the other was "Google Company." Maybe it's the same for all search engine companies, but the one man said google stores every single search done by every single person on the planet which, google says, is so they can come up with better services, etc., but this author said it could also be used, for instance, in divorce cases where a spouse could get all the search info on their partner, etc., so he didn't think it was a good thing. > Krow Magnum at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote on 12/9/05 3:55 PM > > And Gmail has none of that flashy crap all over the page that Yahoo > seems to get more and more of...... Who wants to have to go log on the net just to get into your email? > I had a Yahoo account for years but rarely used it and I use Gmail > exclusively now. Wow, big switch. I've never used any yahoo accounts I ever made either. They almost "make you" have one just to use their other services, but it's a waste of space. I don't like yahoo search engine either. I love google search, totally clean search page, no junk, etc. > I don't use my ISP email at all because Gmail is so > much easier. Wow, now THAT I would have to see and experience! ;-) > I've used Gmail for a couple of years almost and have > used 7% of my storage space and I could have thrown away a bunch more > but I keep an archive of this list and 3 others. > -- > Ron > http://krowmagnum.4mg.com/ That's amazing... I may have to give it a "test run" with one of my lesser accounts and see how it feels. Thanks! Very interesting! I do LOVE google search feature, and I love all websites that have a google search feature. None others compare to it as far as I'm concerned. So what if they are saving all my searches, lol, I'm probably already considered a "domestic terrorist" (=by having politically incorrect opinions).
