I have the same exact system as you and once pondered the same thing. I
ended up chucking my 6GB internal drive and opted for a 20GB Quantum
Fireball AS Ultra ATA/100 drive. It costed me about $180.00 CDN. Maxtor now
sells these drives so you should go and check them out on the WWW. What do
you primarily use your G3 for anyway? The drive I got was 7200 RPM which I
highly recommend. It is pretty speedy. My OS even booted up quicker. You see
I want to get in Adobe After Effects and do visual effects so I wanted a
faster and more reliable drive.
