I bought 128 MB FPM 5 volt DIMMs from OWC for $45.95.
These are the so-called "converted" DIMMS, which use higher density RAM but
make the machine think it is lower density RAM.
These worked fine in a 7500, so I put them in a 200 MHZ Apple Network Server.
Worked fine in the ANS, along side a pair of 125 MB conventional (i.e.,
non-converted) DIMMs.
Since the ANS cannot have more than 512 MB installed (hangs in POST), I
restored the 48 MB basic parity memory and installed just the 256 MB of
additional non-parity memory.

Best price I've seen was for a 7300/180 with 64 MB of RAM and a 2 GB hard
drive, in perfect cosmetic condition, for only $60.
Pretty soon now, 8600s, which are basically three-slot 7600-type mobos
(built-in video) in a tall minitower case, could approach the sub-$100 level.
I doubt if 9600s, which are basically six-slot 7600-type mobos (PCI video) in
a tall minitower case, will ever be that cheap.
The 9600 still seems to have lots of appeal.
