Greetings: I had the same problem. I'm using a G-4 400mhz and I didn't have
enough USB ports, so I purchased a Belkin 4 port hub with seperate power
supply. I couldn't get the web cam, scanner, printer, and game controller
to all work on the Belkin. I plugged the web cam direct into the rear USB
port on the tower, and then ran the remainder of the items through the
Belkin and the error messages regarding power ceased. Are you running more
than just your scanner off the display's USB ports? If so, you might want to
get a belkin hub with the independent power supply, run your scanner direct
into the main USB port and then run the other items through the Belkin.
