The max amount of ram you can fit into this machine is 758mb. That would be
a 256mb piece in each slot. And to quote someone on the list about possible
complications with types of ram in these beige G3's:
"appears those who installed additonal ram that wasn't recognized (as I did)
probably had ram using 8 chips per card which rev a doesnt recognize, ram
cards with 16 chips ARE recognized, hence the different experiences. I
bought 256k ram from McMall and they assured me it would work, It does but
only 128k is recognized, meaning it is 8 chip ram. Looks like OWC ram is 16
chips and will be recognized. My info on that comes from this link.

Doug advises call OWC directly to confirm which I will do Monday, and then
probably buy OWC 256 ram modules 256 X 3 I hope, and the ram is cheap right
now. Best possible solution."
