i'm not sure about pci cards, but i know for most newbus ethernet cards you can use a driver written for another card with the same chip set. it's worth a try. i.e. if the ethernet chips are say TI, a driver for another card that uses the TI chips should work. in any case it shouldn't hurt the card, just don't do any firmware flashes to it- you want to try drivers not firmware updates. i have occasionally found drivers by doing a web search, but of course that can be slow and painful and doesn't always work. it probably will work with another cards drivers, just try a few of them and see if it magically shows up.
