If you run Drive setup you *might* be able to mount it. If you do
rescue all the data off it ASAP and re-initialise it. It sounds like
you have a big problem on your hands that only really seems solvable
by stripping the G4 down to it's bare bones and re-building it. Sorry
to be the bearer of bad omens....
