I don't know if anyone knows this, but in mac with built-in firewire, you
can simply connect the two computers with a firewire cable, and when one of
them is booting up, press the T key (I think it's T) and that machine
basically turns into a firewire hard drive.  This way you can organize and
transfer files between machines using one of the machines.

When you start up the machine and hold T, you get a black screen with a
floating firewire sign/symbol.  Now you can't use this machine, but on the
other one it will mount I believe.  Also, it's pretty much faster than
ethernet if you don't have gigabit :oP
