Ron, My original monitor is a Sony Multiscan: These monitors are just designed that way...They are not 'multi-sync", which is what you are thinking of in terms of multiple resolutions . To show a different rez you would need to change the pin settings on the Mac adapter (which usually is included with these monitors) and is connected to the end of the monitor cable. Gary Hall
