I think we live in different worlds. Where I live the price of a G4 is
about
the same as 2 xP4's all identically configured. An Apple 21" was almost
twice the price of a Sony 21" . Its obviously different here in Ireland but
over here I'd say about 50% of "professional" design and print houses have
switched to the PC. It used to be that I'd have to check everthing on a mac
before I sent it for priniting. Don't need to bother now, they all handle
PC
files just the same as Mac ones. No font issues or anything. All of our
major banks have online banking systems. None of them support the Mac. I
think that just sums up the Mac experience in this country. Remember Apple
has a major manufacturing plant in Ireland, as does Dell, but every where
you go you see Dell ads, and Dell machines in every shop school and
business. But I guess enuff of all that, its brought a tear to my eye,
sniff.

What is the best (in your opinion) G3 machine, that takes IDE drives, 3.3v
RAM and has the least amount of compatibilty problems?
