Well, I gotta give him this one marc...

You can't get around it... On a pc you have a myriad of hardware running,
different things that can be installed, etc... Not to mention that one
game's drivers just might have problems with a specific video card or
anything else...

With a console you have a specific system to optimize/test/troublshoot on...
This could change with the advent of the xbox and it's hard drive (see
software patches) but I hope not. :(
