I am considering upgrading the CPU in my G3/233 MT. It
appears that I can get a 500 MHz G3 for the same price or
slightly less than a 400 MHz G4 ZIF upgrade. The main
reason I am considering the upgrade is to allow me to use
W98 (instead of W95) with VPC. From what I have read, it
appears that there is little advantage to the G4 over the G3
at the same speed except for graphics applications like
Photoshop -- and I do very little graphics work. So, it
seems that I would get the most benefit from getting the 500
MHz G3 instead of the 400 MHz G4 for the same $$. Am I
missing something? Any suggestions and experiences are
welcome.

Thanks,

Gary
