Kyle since you are a "Apple Certified Technician" I would like to get your opinion. I hope you don't mind.
I have a Graphite iBook Special Edition (366MHz before DVD and video out) It has always worked fine, but one day the screen was just tinted Red. It is definitely RED, all the time. Have you run into this before, or know what the problem might be.(I have erased the HD and reinstalled, etc so I know its not software based) I took it to a local Mac Service Center The Tech had not seen this before but looked it over and said otherwise it was fine but he could think of three things it might be; Defective screen, Defective Video Chip, or even the cable that connects the two. Since its not under warranty I would have had to purchase the parts for him to try each idea. Do you have an idea which it is or how I could check to see if maybe the cable is just loose. Here is a picture of the screen http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1284169578 Thanks Ray Oh I found the Heat Sink for that Beige G3 so I don't need one anymore, thanks for the offer though. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
