Perhaps this should have been on another list, but I am sure others
here have thoughts on this.

We have a Cube with 3 partitions on the HD, Classic (for booting OS9),
OS X with a reduced OS9 for the Classic env., and Files for, well, guess.

At the moment we use OS9 as our main system, but when we get 10.1
and our bank updates their homebanking app. (written in Java) we
consider migrating. Just a few ifs and buts:

If we set up OS X with separate logins for each of us, can we still have
access to the same emails? We have a big archive, and some mails
are for both of us.

Can we place the /usr/local directory on the files partition? Or should I
really reformat the hd and set everything up again?

I am reading up on UNIX (yes, I am a bit geekish), but I still don't have a
feel for how much you can change std setups without making it a hassle
for yourself.

Sometimes I feel like staying with OS 9.2.1...

TIA

Martin
