I got it because of read and write errors on my BW g3 350. I have the stock 6 gb drive as a master (5400) and a 40 gb as slave with files and anything not system related. Boot up is definitely slower, as there is a long pause before I see the "happy mac." One thing you should know --- under OS 9, this card sees your drives as SCSI devices. You have to reformat any IDE drive connected to the card.
