Bill,
The web site xlr8yourmac.com has a searchable data base on CD's CD-RW's for
those that work. I had a Liteon burner in my Beige G3 and it worked well
with the apple CD/DVD driver. However it would not boot the Mac. I had
checked the list on the web site and I don't remember seeing one that
booted. On the beige it wasn't a major problem as when needed I'd boot from
the floppy disk. When I moved to my B&W I went for a FireWire case. If her
B&W has a zip disk then it could still be bootable from disk, just something
to keep in mind. Again other than booting it worked well.
