My brain hurts. Y'all have been really helpful informationwise, hope you can help me with round two. I'm the newbie with the rev A 233 G3 Beige Gossamer (500mHz sonnet upgrade). I just received the VST UltraTek/66 PCI card, and will be receiving a 60G IBM Deskstar tomorrow.
My plan was to install the PCI card, do the firmware update to the card so it supports OSX, coax the current ailing HD to format/partition/install OS's (X and 9) onto new drive, then use that new drive permanent-like from the 66 PCI card. I'm a little confused by the RAID references. I don't need to use this card as RAID do I (which means I'd need yet another drive)?
