Apple made quite a number of Beige G3/266 Desktops in late 1998 which were
equipped with Rev. 3 motherboards and their associated Rev. C ROMs.

Most earlier Beige G3/266 Desktops and MiniTowers were equipped with Rev. 1
motherboards and their associated Rev. A ROMs, although a few such machines
were equipped with Rev. 2 motherboards and their associated Rev. B ROMs.

Only machines with Rev. B or C ROMs can support Slave drives under MacOS
9.x.x, or earlier.
