Hello:

I just traded my 8500/G3 for a B&W-350 and my external TEAC 512EB firewire
CDR would not mount on my new B&W until I updated my Toast software to 5.02.
The update actually disabled a couple of Apple extensions. Running OS 9.1.

My point being that it looked to me originally like my firewire port was
dead on the B&W but it was actually a software problem.

Just a thought.
