Hmm. I guess I could replace the HD in the internal EIDE and use X on that
without messing with the firmware on the card. Is there info on what becomes
unstable under the 2.2.4 update? I'll look around and see what I can find
online.

Two headed meaning more than one drive would be supported per cable? I'll
check the local computer store for another 80/40. Will a faulty "Y" bust
anything? Should I not even take a chance this is faulty and just buy a new
one?
