Ken,

Check to make sure your USB PCI card is USB 2.  If not I would upgrade your
PCI card. USB 2 is like ten times faster than USB. Something like a combined
oranglink USB 2 and firewire card. Then, Madlogics has some really nice
external CDRs either firewire or USB 2, or both.  Then get Adaptecs Toast
5.02 burning software and yor set.
