No requirement to touch the AppleTalk control panel. The printer port (as I'm sure you know) doesn't exist anymore. All you'll have to do is fire up your Chooser and pick the LaserWriter driver. If you have AppleTalk turned off the Chooser will automagically turn it on for you.
