I thought the original poster was running a G4, in which case... no serial
port (unless you have the GriffinTechnologies g4port ;). Only those bastard
children of Apple, the Beige G3 line (& the G3 all-in-one) are "saddled"
with a serial port (I have never missed not having a serial port, but, then
again, I had a Quadra 700 sitting around that I could use with my
StyleWriter II as a print server before the little rubber band (for paper
roller) decided to break (I have yet to fix it and it broke 2 years ago... I
suspect the ink cartridge has long since dried up)).
