Morning All:
I have a stock G3 300, Rev B, MT, with 384 RAM. I've been running OS
9.04 on the original 4 Gig HD. Recently I installed a 20 Gig Seagate internal
drive. I have put OS 9.2.1 and OS X on the first 7 Gig partition. Everything
seemed to install correctly but when the machine did the restart after the OS
X installation it defaulted back to the original HD and 9.04! Also my Seagate
partitions and CD drive disappeared! After PRAM zapping, the drive partitions
and CD returned to the desktop.
I can boot into 9.2.1 with no problem but whenever I try to boot into
X the above scenario reoccurs.
My Startup Disk control panel is version 9.2
The partition reads HD 3:System: Mac OS X 10.0
(Build 4K78)
HD 3:System Folder: Mac OS 9.2.1
The OS X folder icon has the Mac smiley face on it.
The 9.2.1 folder icon does not. Does this mean a blessing problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dean
