Hi, I got this ATTO ExpressPCI UL2D card today and tried it out...over and
over...to no avail. Is the card compatible with beige G3's? It wouldn't
boot either OS 9 or X. When the card was in the machine, the first time I
booted off an OS 9 CD, I saw the drive on the UL2D card, and could open
folder and such...but after that there was nothing. I couldn't even boot OS
9 off of an IDE drive I have in there (when the card was in). It would just
sit at the happy mac. I downloaded the OS X SCSI updater (which wouldn't
update it because the updated apparently doesn't work with this card) and
the UL2D v. 1.6.4 updater (ROM flasher ?) from ATTO's web site.

I scoured apple's support site and atto's site but only found those two
updaters. I looked on xlr8yourmac and found that someone had flashed the
card (an apple OEM model) with the 1.5 version of the ROM to get it to work
with a power tower pro. It didn't say which OS the guy was using.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Justin
