Melinda, you can buy a PC monitor of your choice and it should work fine
with your Mac. Some older Macs may need a little adapter. You can get
it from Macwarehouse or another online/catalog seller.

When my Sony Trinitron died I got a used Viewsonic from my neighbor
for a song and plugged that into the PTP225, it is great. The only thing
to watch for is very cheap monitors may cause eye strain. If you want
more details, I'll dig them up for you.
