Okay just downloaded the G3/G4 Cache Profiler from Powerlogix last night.. Ive got a 350 G3 w/1MB L2 Cache.. I set it at a 3:2 ratio (233Mhz) and checked my email and some stuff.. Everything seemed to be okay..
But searched XLR8yourmac this morning.. Nothing on overclocking the cache itself.. Only info I could find was that my 1MB cache is faster than a 512k Cache.. So does anyone use this on the G3?? I just want some feedback on how well it performs before I leave it on and running all the time.. I was going to take the cache up to the full clock speed today but figured I would wait for some comments before trying to burn up my cpu.. I did notice last night that when it was at 233Mhz, my cpu temp went up to 47-49 degrees.. Normally its at 43 which is higher than my Abit/Pentium 3 667 clocked to 1Ghz (usually around 37-39) so I just want to play it safe... Of course in a month I plan on having an XLR8 G4/500 upgrade in it so just trying to squeeze some more power out while I can.. :) -- Chris http://www.descentrecords.com http://www.towelhead.net http://www.mp3.com/towelhead http://www.mp3.com/descent666 -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
