I believe this is the power supply in my new G4 800 I just bought last week. It definitely is noisier than the fan in my old b&w G3 was.. I would replace mine, but the new G4's have a completely different power connector on the board.. Uses two plugs now instead of the standard big block every other PS in the world uses.
