All kidding aside, I wasn't trying to pull anyone's leg or continue to
perpetrate any type of "hoax". I am very new at all of this, and receiving
all of those .pif attachments on blank emails certainly wasn't a hoax or
made up. That site that Tina Holm referenced regarding the Church of Satan
and Mac certainly wasn't a hoax, and I don't understand why someone would go
to such an extreme to play a prank. Perhaps many of you that are used to
these type of things just wink and feel it's pretty funny. But for someone
like me who tends to take this type of stuff seriously, and doesn't know
that much about it, I just didn't find any humor in it at all. Especially
being bombarded with 32 email messages over 30 hours with nothing but
attachments to them that contained potential worms or viruses. I've never
visited any of the sites that people have listed here today saying they saw
this message being touted as a hoax. I honestly didn't even know they
existed until this evening. I enjoy a good joke as well as the next person,
but I just don't find messing with someone's computer and potentially
damaging it the least bit humorous. I'm real serious about that! As far as
that article, I am very proud to be a Mac owner and user and I don't
appreciate someone referring to a company that I support and a product I
believe in as being related to "communist propaganda" or affiliated with any
type of "Satanic worship". Maybe I was raised in a different era, but to
refer to a class of people in that manner is wrong, slanderous, and I had no
idea if anyone else had read this or even knew about it. That's the honest
truth. There are some things I've learned to be very tolerant of, but yet
there are others that just go so completely against all principles of
decency, I can't just overlook it unless it's blatantly obvious it's a hoax
of some type and that article did not appear to be that to me when I first
was directed to it. Sorry if I over reacted!

Aloha,

Ron Ward
