B&W G3 are notorious for having flaky Firewire Ports. I have seen this issue
many times. The best solution is to buy a PCI Firewire card. If you can't
afford one, you can try zapping the PRAM as a temp solution. No Guarantee
zapping the PRAM will work though. Best to buy the Card.
