That little annoyance you can stop by setting your dial up software to not allow applications to open the connection. I've been getting tons of spam lately, also porno spam. They get in at different adresses, some of which have _never_ been subscribed anywhere, but are publicly available on my website. So I've been very active reporting to spamcop. That usually slows things down for awhile. A good deal of the spam seems to come through my shared mailserver though, to "undisclosed recipients", "mailing list", "bd", "bc" and more, so I guess I'll have to go bother my host too.
