A million to one it's a dried/clogged cartridge.  As with all recent Epson
printers, the print heads are fixed, and the cartridges are ink tanks, so
you may well find a cleaning (flushing) cartridge will help clear up dried
grot.

Otherwise, these are solid little machines, robust and good quality.
