Hi all,
I subscribe to OS X FAQ, and their advice is
priceless.
Almost as good as Mastering Mac OS X by Todd Stauffer,
a fine book that I am willing to share with you all.
(Some gems from Todd, e.g. forget your password? -
here's a command-line workaround.)

OS X FAQ said "stay away from 10.1.5" - and I did.
My setup - Beige G3 400 MHz, ATI Rage Orion 16 MB, 768
MB Ram, external SCSI 10 GB (works, but needs 9.x for
X to be happy - X running on internal IDE HDD). I have
also used SWIM to activate the moribund floppy drive.
It works!
Have many other questions (e.g. hot to use an
OrangeMicro Grappler 40uow that doesn't have X
drivers, etc.).
Cheers
George
PS: Some Linux people over at YellowDog claim that OS
X is 'broken' for non-home use, I repeat 'non-home'
use (meaning networking, I suppose).
