If batteries just arent available where you live, there's an option I read
about on the starmax list. A user wired three AA batteries (1.5 v ea)
together, yeilding a 4.5 v power supply, and wired that in. There are
battery holders you may be able to find, or use solder. They'll only last
1-2 yrs though, being alkaline.
If the G3 uses a 3.6 v battery, two AA's (3v) should work but may not last
as long since it's already starting out low.
