please keep this off list. there are in fact many non lethal uses for guns, including target practice which i personally enjoy, and hunting. guns do deter crime, they level the playing field. criminals aren't allowed to legally own guns in most places, yet they often have them. those who feel invincible because they have a gun are fools, and should go to the shooting range sometime and realize that guns aren't magic.. finally, please read the damn link! it rather supports what i'm saying as do several other government funded studies.
