I have three Macs set up presently on Roadrunner cable. Like you, when I got
cable I had researched this list and others about how to get the best setup
for my equipment on hand at that time. Then, I was using two 8500's and a
BGE 233 G3 DT. I elected to later switch out the 85's for two more G3's.
This List was the most helpful of all.

Currently my system is like this and running great :

NetGear RT 314 Router ( 4 computer connections available )
SurfBoard SB4100 Cable Modem

BGE G3 DT ( orig. 233 rev. A), Rev. C ROM, 400 MHZ Motorola, 768 MB RAM, 60
& 40 GB ATA Maxtor HD's , Sony CDRW ATA, Logitec USB wheel mouse, Radeon ME
32 MB video, 17" VGA Proview Monitor, OS 10.1.5 on the 60 and 9.2.2 on the
40 , IE 5.2.

BGE G3 DT AV (orig. REV. A 233 ) REV. C Rom, Sonnet Encore G4 500, 768 MB
RAM, 40 GB and 20 GB Maxtor drives. 6 MB onboard VRAM 10.1.5 and 9.2.2, IE
5.2

BGE Rev. B AV 266 G3 DT, 768 MB RAM, 40 & 20 Maxtor Drives also 10.1.5 and
9.2.2, IE 5.2

I have also successfully connected to this modem and router running 9.1 only
with :

Two 8500's
7300
7200

With the G3's I have also used VPC 5 with 98 SE and also win 2k pro and IE 6

I am like Kyle in this thought though. I DO NOT recommend this router to
anyone, even though it has performed without even one hiccup continuously
now for over a year. It was Flashed for a peecee and would not accept the
password or connect to the modem, due to the built in firewall, when I got
it. NetGear made no attempt to hide the fact that they did not support
Macs, when I called them for help. All they would say to me was " get a
peecee and call us back. We can help you re-flash it then." As tempted as I
was to send it back, I went to a neighbor, who was mesmerized with the " Hey
Dude You're........ Ads, and called them back. 15 minutes later I was
re-hooking it to my Mac and it has worked great since. They do support, but
NOT MAC's.
