They use to be some tests posted at Zdnet, but there gone now. Your best bet is to check this site xlr8yourmac.com. At the time they had a B&W G3 against a Pentium 2. The G3 won a lot of the time, but now with the Pentium 4, I don't think the G3 can even compete. Altivec is what makes the G4 click. But here is the link.
