A Maxtor 80 GB AT hard drive I installed about months ago went belly up -- I got a "system does not recognize this hard drive" message, used Newton to recover some files, then the next time I tried to start up my Mac did not even *see* the Maxtor. Now I want to replace it, but I'd like some advice -- Has anyone else had problems with a Maxtor disk? Should I try to turn it in under warranty and have Maxtor replace it? Or should I cut my losses and buy a different brand?
